Mason Jar Pumpkins
STEP ONE
Gather all supplies. Remove the sticker tag from the mason jars. Wash and dry the jars and lids. These mason jars are called Jelly Jars because normally they are used for canning jelly, jam, and preserves. Dollar Tree has such a HUGE selection of materials that can be upcycled and good quality craft supplies that won’t blow your budget!

Place a dime-sized dollop of Spiced Pumpkin acrylic paint and Mod Podge decoupage medium on a paper plate. Mix them and paint a light coat on the outside of the small jelly jar. The decoupage medium will make the paint translucent. Place upside down on your work surface to dry.

Place a quarter-size dollop of Burnt Orange acrylic paint and decoupage medium on a paper plate. Mix and paint a light coat on the outside of the medium jelly jar. The decoupage medium will make the paint translucent. Set aside to dry.

STEP TWO
Paint the solid mason jar lids with Hauser Medium Green acrylic craft paint. Set aside to dry and apply a second coat, if necessary. The lids can be top coated with Mod Podge decoupage medium for extra durability. I love Americana Acrylics from DecoArt because they have one-coat coverage on most surfaces.

STEP THREE
Attach wooden stems to the top center of the mason jar lids with a glue gun and glue sticks. This bundle of thick wooden stems was found at Dollar Tree, but you could use a tree branch from the yard. You can use liquid craft glue for this project, but you will have to wait for it to dry.

STEP FOUR
Cut teardrop-shaped leaves from Kelly Green Kunin Felt with scissors. Apply a dot of glue to the tip of the leaf and fold it in half for added dimension. Kunin Classic Felt comes in 9″ by 12″ Craft Cuts that make all your DIY projects quick and easy since it won't fray when cut.

STEP FIVE
Measure and cut two 8” lengths of natural jute twine. Tie the twine into bows and trim any long ends with scissors.

STEP SIX
Attach the craft felt leaves to the wood stems of the pumpkins with a glue gun and glue sticks. To finish this pair of jelly jar mason jar pumpkins, attach the twine bows to the front center of the wood stem with a glue gun and glue sticks.
