Here's what you need to make Bubble Wrap Harvest Corn:

.

Here's how to create Harvest Corn with Bubble Wrap:

STEP ONE

To begin the Bubble Wrap Harvest Corn Recycled Kids Craft, gather all supplies. I love creating out of the recycle bin because it is FREE craft materials! Measure and cut a section of bubble wrap that is approximately 8.5″ by 11″. Download and print the HARVEST CORN PATTERN below ⇓ onto plain paper.

STEP TWO

Place the pattern sheet under the bubble wrap. Basecoat the bubble wrap with Mustard Yellow acrylic paint. Add the other colors, Antique Gold, Burnt Orange, Pumpkin Spice, Light Cinnamon, Heritage Brick, Plum, and Burgundy, of acrylic craft paint in random patches all over the bubble wrap using a paintbrush. Set aside to dry. This is the FUN pat because there is no right or wrong way to paint the corn!

STEP THREE

Cut out the corn shape from the pattern sheet and trace it onto yellow cardstock three times. Cut out the three corn shapes with scissors. Once dry, flip painted bubble wrap over and trace the corn pattern three times, and then cut out with scissors. I love the MONO Twin Permanent Marker from Tombow because it has a large bullet tip and a small fine tip.

STEP FOUR

Attach the three painted bubble wrap corn shapes to the three yellow cardstock corn shapes with the Xtreme Permanent Adhesive Runner, which is five times stronger than traditional adhesive runners. Layer the three pieces of harvest corn in a group and secure them at the top with staples from an office stapler. You can use liquid craft glue for this step, but you will have to wait for it to dry. A glue stick will not work on the plastic bubble wrap.

STEP FIVE

Cut the bottom and any handles from the brown paper bag with scissors. Tear the brown paper bag pieces into strips approximately 3” wide. Rip a few longer sections and a few shorter sections to become the corn husks. Crumple the pieces of the brown paper bag, then smooth them back out. Dry fit them on your work surface to make sure you have enough.

STEP SIX

Attach the long sections of brown paper bag corn husks to the back of the harvest corn using Tombow Xtreme Permanent Adhesive Runner. Accent the front of the harvest corn with the short sections of brown paper bag corn husks.

STEP SEVEN

Measure and cut three lengths of natural jute twine 24” long. Tie around the brown paper bag corn husks and finish with a bow. Accent with a brown and white gingham ribbon bow, then trim the ends of the bow with scissors, if necessary.
