Here’s what you will need to create an Owl Pumpkin:
- Kunin Classic™ Felt 9” x 12” Craft Cuts – Walnut Brown, Prickly Purple, Orchid, Pumpkin Spice, Gold and Cream
- E6000 Fabri Fuse Glue
- Pumpkin – Paper Mache
- Americana Acrylics by DecoArt – Dark Chocolate, Jack-O-Lantern Orange, Burnt Orange
- Paint Brush
- Hot Glue Gun and Glue Sticks
- Scissors – Fiskars are my favorite!
- Buttons – Black (2)
- MONOTWIN Permanent Marker from Tombow
Here’s how to make a No-Carve Pumpkin:
STEP ONE
Basecoat paper mache pumpkin with Jack-O-Lantern Orange and while still wet, blend Burnt Orange into the grooves. Paint the pumpkin stem Dark Chocolate. Let paint dry and apply a second coat, if necessary. Americana Acrylics by DecoArt are rich and thick, giving one-coat coverage, which is why I prefer them.

STEP TWO
Download and print NO CARVE OWL PUMPKIN PATTERNS below ⇓ Cut out all patterns. Trace and cut all patterns on Kunin Classic™ Felt according to the instructions below with a MONOTWIN permanent marker. Walnut Brown – 2 wings and 1 large eye; Pumpkin Spice – 1 medium scalloped eyes; Prickly Purple – 1 small eye, 2 chest feathers, and 16 wing feathers; Orchid – 1 chest feathers and 16 wing feathers; Gold – 2 talons, 1 beak, and 1 head feathers; Cream – 2 single eyes.

STEP THREE
Cut out all felt pieces with scissors, making sure to cut inside the traced lines, so that your finished project is neat and clean.

STEP FOUR
Assemble the pieces with Fabri Fuse Glue. Attach the feathers randomly to both wings. Stack the owl face in the following order: Walnut Brown, Pumpkin Spice, Prickly Purple, Cream, and two black buttons. Attach beak at the bottom and head feathers to the top to complete the owl face. Set aside for approximately one hour to dry.

STEP FIVE
Attach the remaining pieces and parts directly on the paper mache pumpkin with a hot glue gun and glue sticks, using the photo below as your guide. Embrace the ridges of the pumpkin and use them to create added texture to the owl.

Your Halloween owl pumpkin is absolutely adorable! Thanks for sharing at the #HomeMattersParty.
I am so glad that you like it, Allyson!!
This is adorable. So clever! Visiting from Gma’s Photo Generic linkup.
This is super adorable! A couple of years ago I made an owl while carving pumpkins, but it was in fact carved. I took the pumpkin seeds, baked them, and painted them to have different colors. I glued them around the eyes and for the wings. Thanks for linking up with Tell It To Me Tuesday, I hope to see you again this week!
OH, I love that idea!!
