- Bugs & Kisses Treat Bag Topper download from the bottom of this post
- Washable Markers
- Spider Rings
- Chocolate Kisses Candy – these are our favorites!
- Computer and printer
- White Cardstock – Neenah is super smooth!
- Swingline Stapler
- Snack Size Zipper Bags
- Fiskars Scissors
Here's how to make a Halloween Treat Topper:
STEP ONE
Download and print the BUGS & KISSES TREAT TOPPER from the bottom of this post. Cut out the Bugs and Kisses treat bag topper with scissors, along the dotted lines. There are two (2) toppers on each 8 ½” by 11” sheet. Print on regular paper or cardstock.
STEP TWO
Color the treat bag toppers with washable markers, colored pencils, or crayons. For older kids, watercolors are great too! Color and complete the TO: and FROM: on the back of the topper. Let the kiddos get creative with this step.
STEP THREE
Fill snack-size plastic zipper bags with a handful of silver foil-wrapped chocolate kisses and plastic spiders, or other bugs. Spider rings from Dollar Tree work well for this treat. Close zipper to seal.
STEP FOUR
Fold the completed treat topper in half between the front and back sections.
STEP FIVE
Position the open edge of the treat topper over the sealed plastic zipper snack-size bag.
STEP SIX
Staple the treat topper onto the plastic zipper bag with a staple on each end. Make sure to hide the zipper portion of the bag.
STEP SEVEN
The file is for a standard zipper sandwich or snack-size plastic bag. Because they are a little larger (6 1/2″ wide), the toppers will print two to a page.
