- Sanding Block
Here's how to create a Valentine's Day Kiss Booth:
STEP ONE
To begin the Valentine Kisses Booth Dollar Tree Crafts, gather all supplies. Remove any rough edges from the wooden pieces with a sanding block. Basecoat all sides and edges of the wooden crate and jumbo craft sticks with Country Red acrylic paint. Let dry and apply a second coat, if necessary. I love my Americana Acrylics from DecoArt because they have one-coat coverage on most surfaces.
STEP TWO
To create the sign, attach two jumbo crafts sticks horizontally across the top of the other two craft sticks placed vertically with the glue gun and glue sticks. You can use liquid craft glue for this project, but you will have to wait for the glue to dry.
Using white Thickers letter stickers, apply the word KISSES to the top of the craft stick sign. A good hack for Thickers letter sticks is to paint them so they will match any project!
STEP THREE
Attach the craft stick sign to the inside of the wooden crate with the glue gun and glue sticks. Glue white rick rack trim around the outside edge of the wooden crate. Trim the ends with scissors.
I love using fun trims like rick rack and ball fringe, and this variety pack of rick rack is an excellent value!
STEP FOUR
Draw four hearts on the back of pink glitter craft foam and cut them out with scissors. You can also look for craft foam glitter hearts already cut out at Dollar Tree. Using the MONO Twin, write 5₵ on the front of one of the pink glitter craft foam hearts.
Measure and cut a 10” length of baker’s twine and attach it to the back of the sign with the glue gun and glue sticks.
Hang the hearts on the baker's twine with the mini clothespins. The MONO Twin is a versatile marker to craft with because it has a larger bullet tip and an extra fine tip, which makes it perfect for all types of applications.
STEP FIVE
Attach pink ball fringe trim around the outside of the wooden crate with a glue gun and glue sticks. Trim the ends of the ball fringe with scissors.
