Recycling and upcycling have been my jam since I was a kid. Sometimes I even purchase a certain type of product because of its packaging. For my Recycled Bottle Halloween Ghosts project, I purchased Sparkling ICE Water strictly because of the size and shape of the bottle. Now, I am hooked on the Mango Tangerine, it's slightly fizzy but too bubbly. Secrets revealed!

A Quick and Easy DIY – Recycled Bottle Halloween Ghosts

Here's what you need to make Ghosts from Bottles and Poly-Fil:

• Recycled Soda and Water Bottles in different sizes
• Poly-Fil® from Fairfield World™
• Kunin® Classic™ Felt 9” x 12” Craft Cuts – Black
• Glue Gun and Glue Sticks
• Scissors – I love my Fiskars!
• Craft Knife
• Aquarellable Pencil from Stabilo – White

Here's how to create the Cutest Soda Bottle Ghosts:

STEP ONE

Wash and thoroughly dry plastic beverage bottles, and then remove all labels. My bottles are a 2-liter soda, a 1-liter water, and a 16 oz. seltzer. You can use any type or size bottle as long as it is clear plastic. Carefully cut off the neck of the bottles with a craft knife. If you don't have a craft knife, a pair of sharp scissors will work.

STEP TWO

Make sure that the bottle ghosts are all different sizes and heights. Don't worry if some of the glue is left on the plastic bottle. Just turn it to the back!

STEP THREE

Draw ghost faces onto Black Kunin® Classic™ Felt with the White Aquarellable Pencil, and then cut out with scissors. Spooky, scary, cute, and sassy are just a few of the fun features that you can create with the kiddos. TIP: Cut inside the drawn lines so that you end up with a clean, finished project. If you don't have felt you can use black craft foam or construction paper.

STEP FOUR

Stuff the bottles with Poly-Fil® from Fairfield World™ by tearing off sections of the fiberfill and packing it inside. Another great way to involve the kids!

STEP FIVE

Carefully attach the features to the ghosts with a low temp glue gun and glue sticks. You could also use tacky liquid glue, glue dots, or even a strong glue stick.

Recycled Bottle Halloween Ghosts the Easiest Kids Craft

I hope you will use my Recycled Bottle Halloween Ghosts project as a jumping-off point to showcase YOUR Halloween decor with Poly-Fil from Fairfield. Add your finished ghosts to your home by using doilies, pedestals, pumpkins, and candy. My ghosts are proudly displayed on my mantel and I am drinking more beverages, so I can add to my ghost family!
