How to DIY Rainbow Dollar Tree Pumpkins
Fall is starting to arrive in most areas of the country, but in Florida, we are still getting sunshine with highs in the 90’s and afternoon rainstorms. So, what follows rain and sunshine? DIY Rainbow Dollar Tree Pumpkins, of course! A quick and easy no-sew project to brighten your Fall season. Plus as y'all know, rainbow is my favorite color and Kunin Felt has all the fabulous bright colors to complete this project in just about 30 minutes.

Here's what you need to make Pumpkins in Rainbow Colors:
- Dollar Store Foam Pumpkins – seven
- Kunin Classics™ Felt by the Yard – Red, Orange, Yellow, Pirate Green, Peacock, Royal Blue, Orchid (1/2 yard each)
- Kunin Classics™ Felt 9” x 12” Craft Cuts – Olive (1)
- Sizzix Big Shot Machine
- Sizzix Bigz Die Tattered Leaves
- Glue Gun and Glue Sticks
- Scissors – I love my Fiskars!
- Craft Knife
- Pruning Shears – again with the Fiskars!
- Tree Branch
Here's how to create Rainbow Pumpkins with Felt:
To begin the Rainbow Dollar Tree Pumpkins, remove the tag and stem from each of the seven foam pumpkins. Carefully cut a 1-inch by 1-inch section in the top center of each pumpkin with a craft knife, remove and discard.
Fold the 18-inch (half yard) length of each color of Kunin Classics™ Felt by the Yard over to create a triangle. Cut along the straight edge with scissors and then unfold to create an 18-inch square. Place the foam pumpkin in the center of the square.
Insert one corner of the felt into the hole at the top of the foam pumpkin. Continue to gather and insert the felt into the pumpkin, using your fingers. If the felt gets bunched and tight, gently use the closed blade from a pair of round edge scissors to push the felt into the pumpkin. You could also use a dowel or chopstick.
Cut at least seven leaves from Olive Kunin Classics™ Felt Craft Cuts using a Sizzix Big Shot machine and Sizzix Bigz Die Tattered Leaves.
Collect a tree branch from the yard. Cut seven, 2-inch lengths with pruning shears.
To finish the Rainbow Dollar Tree Pumpkins, insert stem and leaf into the hole at the top of the foam pumpkin and secure with a glue gun and glue sticks.
