Thanksgiving is going to look a bit different this year, but I have to say that I can't wait for turkey, sweet potato casserole, and pecan pie. Yes, I know that it is controversial, but I do not like pumpkin pie. Here's how to create Rainbow Ribbon Turkeys for Thanksgiving:

STEP ONE

To begin, gather all supplies. Download, print and cut out Rainbow Ribbon Turkey Decorations Patterns below ⇓ and then trace onto Kunin Felt craft cuts with a MONOTWIN Permanent Marker. Cut out with scissors inside the traced lines to ensure you have a cleaned finished project. Attach turkey features and wiggle eyes to the body with a glue gun and glue sticks. Liquid craft glue would work as well, you just have to wait for it to dry.

STEP TWO

Measure and cut six-inch lengths of rainbow-colored ribbon from your craft stash. Fold each piece of ribbon into a loop and secure at the ends with a glue gun and glue sticks. For each turkey, you will need 10-12 loops of ribbon.

STEP THREE

Line up the loops in the color pattern that you prefer and then attach each rainbow ribbon loop to the back piece of the turkey body with a glue gun and glue sticks. Measure and cut two lengths of yellow ribbon six inches long, tie a not near one end, and then cut out a triangle notch to resemble the turkey legs. Glue to the bottom of the body of the turkey.

STEP FOUR

Glue the front piece of the turkey onto the back, which will cover all of the ribbon ends. Attach a wooden spring-style clothespin to the back center of the turkey with a glue gun with the clip end pointing up.

STEP FIVE

Cut a strip of cardstock 3/4″ wide, hand letter your name onto the strip with the MONOTWIN Permanent Marker, and then clip into the clothespin. The wooden clothespin will act as a stand for the turkey to sit, as well as a clip to hold the names as place cards.

Does your ribbon stash look like mine? Well, not anymore because Deflecto has the best solutions for organizing and storing all of your craft supplies. The Deflecto Ribbon Dispenser comes with a sturdy dowel and a pair of inserts to hold everything securely in place.

The Ribbon Dispenser is my new favorite because it holds 12+ spools of ribbon (depending upon the width of the ribbon) and fits right in the Stackable Caddy Organizer! The lid snaps closed to hold the ribbon tails in place, but they are easy to pull out and cut. Organize by ribbon type, color, or project.
