I might have an addiction to Dollar Tree. Well, maybe not might – LOL! Admitting it is the first step, right? These Dollar Tree Halloween Votives are my most recent creation. I love walking through the aisles and looking for everyday items that can be transformed. A few simple supplies from the Dollar Tree are made over into a cute as can be Jack-O-Lantern, Bat, and Ghost to light the way to Halloween!

Here's how to create Halloween Votives in 15 Minutes:
STEP ONE
Gather all supplies. Remove the battery-operated votives from the packaging, pull the tab in the back, and make sure the flame lights. Place the on/off switch at the 12 o’clock position for the Ghost and Bat, and at the 6 o’clock position for the Jack-O-Lantern. Now, let’s add the faces! The orange Jack-O-Lantern votive gets two wiggle eyes and six medium rhinestones. The white Ghost votive has two wiggle eyes and one large rhinestone mouth. The black Bat votive gets two wiggle eyes and a mouth plus fangs drawn on with a white paint marker. Use the tip of a craft knife for accurate placement of self-adhesive rhinestones. Use two different size wiggle eyes for a whimsical look. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the Dollar Tree Paint Markers and a great value.
STEP TWO
Download, print and cut out the Dollar Store Halloween Votives Patterns below ⇓. Trace the Ghost body onto white craft foam and cut out with scissors. Make sure that the on/off switch of the votive is at the top and glue the Ghost head to the Ghost body with the glue gun and glue sticks. Tie a bow with long tails with black and white baker’s twine, and then glue to the Ghost body.
STEP THREE
Trace the Batwings onto black craft foam and cut out with scissors. Cut two small triangles and glue to the top of the Bat votive as ears. Make sure that the on/off switch of the votive is at the top and glue the Bat head to the Bat wings with the glue gun and glue sticks.
STEP FOUR
Trace the Jack-O-Lantern stem onto brown craft foam and the leaf onto green craft foam, then cut out with scissors. Make sure that the on/off switch of the votive is at the bottom and glue the stem and leaf to the Jack-O-Lantern with the glue gun and glue sticks.
