Here's what you need to make Rainbow Wall Art:

• Kunin® Classic™ Felt Craft Cuts 9” by 12” Red, Candy Pink, Fuchsia, Orange, Yellow, Gold, Neon Green, Apple Green, Peaceful Blue, Brilliant Blue, Royal Blue, Violet Sky
• E6000 Fabri-Fuse Liquid Fabric Glue
• Home Decor Frames, One – Dollar Tree
• Americana Acrylic Paint by DecoArt – Titanium White
• Scissors
• Pencil
• Paintbrush
• Straight Pins
• MONO Twin Permanent Marker – Black

Here's how to create Easy Felt Wall Art:

STEP ONE

To begin the Easy Rainbow DIY Felt Wall Art, gather all supplies. Download and print out the RAINBOW PATTERNS from the bottom of this post ⇓. Roughly cut out and number the patterns and arrange the colors around the sun.

STEP TWO

Disassemble the photo frame, setting any glass aside. Paint the backboard with Titanium White acrylic paint, if there is an image to cover up.

STEP THREE

Secure the Rainbow Patterns onto Red, Candy Pink, Fuchsia, Orange, Yellow, Gold, Neon Green, Apple Green, Peaceful Blue, Brilliant Blue, Royal Blue, Violet Sky Kunin® Classic™ Felt with straight pins.

Carefully cut out all patterns with scissors. Remove the straight pins and paper patterns, then place each colored wedge back into the appropriate place within the design.

Make sure to keep all the pieces in order on your work surface so that they all fit back together correctly. I learned this the hard way – LOL!

STEP FOUR

Arrange and dry-fit the pattern pieces together on the frame backboard using the photo below as your guide. Attach the cutout felt pieces to the base with Fabri-Fuse liquid fabric glue. Set aside to allow the glue to dry. E6000 Fabri-fuse liquid fabric glue is extremely flexible, has stretch, won’t create bumps or bulges, and allows the felt to remain pliable — even after washing. 

STEP FIVE

Once the glue is dry, trim any excess felt from the edges of the frame backboard with scissors. Fit the Rainbow Wall Art panel back inside the frame and secure the pins in the back.

STEP SIX

To finish the Rainbow DIY Felt Wall Art, cut out two small circles from Candy Pink Kunin Felt, with scissors. Attach the cheeks to the right and left side of the Gold Kunin Felt sun with Fabri-Fuse liquid fabric glue. Draw two closed eyes and a large smile from cheek to cheek with the MONO Twin Permanent Black Maker using the broad tip of the pen. Change up the colors to a boho palette and leave off the face to create wall art for a dorm room or first apartment.
