Harry Potter Felt Bookmark with a FREE Pattern Sheet

Sharing is caring!

It's hard to believe that Harry Potter is middle-aged. I love to read and was excited to be able to read this book series with my nieces and nephews, over and over again when they were young. Reading has always been an important part of my life and I enjoy passing along this particular love to my favorite kiddos. I've created a Harry Potter Felt Bookmark with a FREE Printable Pattern Sheet, so you can create some valuable family time with your kiddos within the pages of a BOOK!

Here's what you need to make a Harry Potter Bookmark:

Materials needed to create a Harry Potter Bookmark Felt, Glue, Scissors, black paint and gold glitter glue Creatively Beth #creativelybeth #harrypottercrafts #harrypotter #feltcrafts #kidscrafts

Here's how to create the Easiest Harry Potter Bookmark:

.

STEP ONE

To begin the Harry Potter felt bookmark, download patterns (BELOW ), print them, and then cut them out with scissors. Trace patterns on the Cream, Gold, Ruby, and Walnut Kunin Classic Felt with the MONO Twin Permanent Marker according to the directions included on the pattern sheet. I love drawing and tracing with the MONO Twin Permanent Marker from Tombow because it has a large bullet tip and a small extra fine tip.

STEP TWO

Fringe a one-inch section at the bottom of the Ruby Kunin Felt rectangular-shaped scarf piece with scissors by cutting narrow strips across the width.

Using the fine tip end of the MONO Multi Liquid Glue, attach Harry's Walnut Felt hair to the top of one of the Cream Felt circles. This will become his head. The fine tip applicator on the MONO Multi is perfect for detailed glue application.

STEP THREE

Glue both Cream Felt circle head patterns to the front and back of the top of the Ruby Felt rectangle scarf, creating a sandwich. Overlap approximately one-half-inch.

Attach the Gold Felt rectangles to the scarf with MONO Multi Liquid Glue. Overlap the first Gold Felt rectangle on the bottom of Harry’s chin, and then leave ¾” Ruby Felt sections between each of the five remaining gold rectangles.

STEP FOUR

Carefully draw glasses on Harry’s face with black dimensional fabric paint. Create two circles and then draw a curved line attaching the circles together.  Set aside to let the paint dry. Make sure to test the glitter glue on a paper towel or scrap piece of paper first to get the flow going.

Draw Harry’s lightning bolt scar on his forehead with gold glitter glue. Set aside to let glitter glue dry. Use the point of a toothpick to drag the ends of the lightning bolt to points.

  • Beth with the kiddos at home for the summer we need to give them something to do. This is a perfect craft for them to make. My daughter made me a book mark when she was little, to this day I still use it and think of her. I love this idea and your tutorial is so easy to follow. Thanks for sharing!
