Create an Embroidered Floral T-Shirt with just a few supplies. My niece and I love finding unique pieces of clothing that reflect her personality and style. But when we can't find what we want, we create it! Adding some hand-stitched embroidery to a simple tee-shirt elevates it to a one-of-a-kind piece of clothing that is all HER!

Using only three simple embroidery stitches, this daisy flower pattern is great for beginners and experts alike!

Here's what you need to make an Embroidered T-Shirt with Daisies:

• Anchor® Embroidery Floss Spools – 0001 Snow White; 0241 Grass Green; 0289 Canary Yellow Medium Light
• Crew Neck Tee Shirt
• Embroidery Needles
• Needle Threader
• Scissors – I love my Fiskars!

Here's how to create a Hand Embroidered T-Shirt:

STEP ONE

To begin the Embroidered Floral T-Shirt, gather all supplies. I found this cute crew neck tee shirt at Wal-Mart and thought that this army green color would be perfect for some pretty daisy flowers. Start at the shoulder seam creating a simple five petal daisy flower using the lazy daisy embroidery stitch.

STEP TWO

Create seven daisy flowers around the collar of the tee shirt using the lazy daisy stitch. Jessica at Cutesy Crafts has a complete Guide to 30 Embroidery Stitches, which is my go to for all my stitching and sewing needs.

STEP THREE

Create French knot daisy flower centers. Knot the floss, bring the needle up through the center of the flower, wrap the floss around the needle at least 4 times, and then insert the needle back through the center. Make sure that the down stitch is next to the up stitch.

STEP FOUR

Create a winding vine connecting all seven of the embroidered daisy flowers using a split stitch. Create a stitch approximately 1/4″ long, bring the next up stitch through the center of the first stitch. Continue this pattern creating a wavy line connecting the flowers. The split stitch gives the embroidery texture.

STEP FIVE

To finish the Embroidered Floral T-Shirt, create lazy daisy stitch leaves randomly across the length of the wavy vine.
