How do you make a Star Wars Inspired Pop Holder?
STEP ONE
To begin the Star Wars Inspired Popsicle Sleeves, gather all supplies and materials. Download and print the free LIGHTSABER ICE POP HOLDER PATTERNS from the bottom of this post. Cut out all patterns with scissors. Trace the ice pop holder pattern twice onto Silver Grey Kunin© Classic™ Felt with the MONO Twin permanent marker.
STEP TWO
Cut out the ice pop holders from the Silver Grey Kunin© Classic™ Felt with scissors, making sure to cut INSIDE the traced lines for a clean, finished project.
STEP THREE
Fold each ice pop holder in half vertically, securing the side and bottom seams with a glue gun and glue sticks. Hot or Low Temp will work for this project. If using hot temp glue, please have an adult supervise to prevent burns. You can also use liquid fabric glue for this project, but you will have to wait for it to dry.
STEP FOUR
Cut out three (3) of the 1/2″ wide strips from Black Kunin© Classic™ Felt with scissors. Then cut out six (6) of the 1/2″ wide strips from Black Kunin© Classic™ Felt with scissors.
STEP FIVE
Trace one circle from the pattern sheet onto Red and Peacock Kunin© Classic™ Felt. Then cut two (2) circles from Black Kunin© Classic™ Felt. Remember to cut inside the traced lines for a clean, finished project. I love drawing and tracing with the MONO Twin Permanent Marker from Tombow because it has a large bullet tip and a small extra fine tip.
STEP SIX
Assemble the red lightsaber holder, using the photo below for placement. Secure all embellishments with a glue gun and glue sticks. You can also create your own pattern for the lightsaber handle.
STEP SEVEN
Secure all embellishments with a glue gun and glue sticks for the blue lightsaber holder, using the photo below for placement. Let the kiddos get creative and design their very own lightsaber handle.
