Here's how to create a Dollar Tree Rainbow from Craft Sticks
STEP ONE
To begin the Rainbow Popsicle Stick Pot of Gold craft, gather all supplies. Remove the paper tag from the clay pot. Basecoat clay pot with Lamp Black acrylic craft paint. Let dry and apply a second coat, if necessary. I love Americana Acrylics from DecoArt because they have one-coat coverage on most surfaces.

STEP TWO
Lay out colored craft sticks in rainbow order – red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple. Attach the popsicle sticks to the back top edge of the clay pot with a glue gun and glue sticks. You can use liquid craft glue for this project, but you will have to wait for it to dry.

STEP THREE
Measure and cut a 6” length of black ribbon. Knot each end, and then attach to the right and left sides of the clay pot with a glue gun and glue sticks.

STEP FOUR
Download, print and roughly cut out the RAINBOW POT OF GOLD PATTERNS download from the bottom of this post. Attach the cloud pattern to Kunin Classic White Felt with straight pins and cut it out with scissors. You can also cut out the cloud pattern and trace it onto the Kunin Classic White Felt with the MONO Twin permanent marker.

STEP FIVE
Attach the cloud to the top of the rainbow craft sticks with a glue gun and glue sticks. Use craft foam, or cardstock if you don’t have Kunin Classic White Felt.

STEP SIX
Add a face to the cloud by attaching two wiggle eyes with a glue gun and glue sticks. Cut out small circles from Kunin Classic Candy Pink Felt and glue them to either side of the face. Draw a mouth from cheek to cheek with the MONO Twin permanent black marker. I love drawing and tracing with the MONO Twin Permanent Marker from Tombow because it has a large bullet tip and a small extra fine tip.

STEP SEVEN
To finish the Clay Pot of Gold craft, fill it with a handful of white paper shreds and the gold foil-wrapped candy of your choice. We love Rolos, which can also be found at Dollar Tree.
