Here's how to Color a Rainbow of Feelings:
STEP ONE
To begin the Color a Rainbow of Feelings Free Printable, always start out with a sketch. I have a spiral-bound book where I draw rough outlines of all my doodles and printable ideas. This is a great way to save all those quotes I randomly come across. To enlarge my thumbnail sketch, I use regular cheapo printer paper and my Tombow MONO J Drawing Pencil 4H grade, which has a hard lead for lighter lines. This sketch is always super messy.
STEP TWO
The Cricut BrightPad is one of my all-time favorite tools when it comes to creating printable files, doodles, and drawings. By layering the rough sketch under the smooth printer paper I can quickly and easily create several different versions of the same quote. First up is the Rainbow of Feelings Shadow Version which I ink in with a medium grey Dual Brush Pen. Print out this version below if you want to layer and trace over it directly.
STEP THREE
Next up I take the shadow quote and layer a new piece of smooth printer paper on top. I trace around the quote with my favorite pen the MONOTWIN Permanent Marker. It has a larger bullet tip and a smaller fine tip which is perfect for a variety of line widths. Download and print the Rainbow of Feelings Outline Version if you (and the kiddos) want to print and color.
STEP FOUR
Coloring comes next! Use my layering and tracing technique to create a beautifully finished piece because I have done all the measuring, sketching, and lettering work for you. First, lay in the lightest of blue backgrounds with Dual Brush Pen 491 Glacier Blue. Second, letter the modern calligraphy with N15 Black using the brush tip and then outline the block letters using the bullet tip.
I always start out with a sample color palette, so I can make sure that the final piece will have the perfect combination. This rainbow color scheme of Dual Brush Pens was super easy to create because it is one that I use all the time. I challenge you to create a color palette that makes you happy! Continue to use the Cricut BrightPad to add the rainbow perspective to the word FEELS at the bottom of the quote. Then outline the colors and the quote with the bullet tip of Dual Brush Pen N15 Black.
OR, if you're not into lettering or coloring you can download and print my finished Rainbow of Feelings Color Version below. Ready to hang in your home in an 8″ by 10″ picture frame.
Organize all your Markers with Deflecto
Before all of my Dual Brush Pens lived in the box they were shipped in, which makes it super hard to find the right color when you need it. I wasted lots of time searching for pens, but now, the perfect solution is the Interlocking Marker Organizer from Deflecto.
Each Organizer has notches on all four sides, so the units slide together to create the perfect storage solution for all the pens, pencils, and markers in YOUR life.
The inner rubber grid of the Interlocking Marker Organizer is soft and flexible which holds any shape of pen and pencil in place. The Tombow Dual Brush Pens are tall and skinny, so you can actually fit two pens inside each grid which literally doubles the storage from 20 to 40 markers per Organizer. Game-changer!

The Interlocking Marker Organizers fit into the Stackable Caddy Organizer also from Deflecto, so you can take them with you from room to room. The shape of the Organizers makes them totally flexible so you can integrate them into your creative space by sitting flat, laying down horizontally, or standing up vertically. I have mine standing up, right next to my work area so they are easy to reach.
