Here's how to create a Christmas Tree Pillow:
STEP ONE
To begin the Upcycled Christmas Tree Pillow, gather all supplies. Wash and dry the king-size envelope-style pillow sham. The one I found at an antique store is off-white and quilted, but any plain sham will work. Flip the sham over and measure a rectangle that is 12″ by 26″ in the center of the fabric.
STEP TWO
Sew around the perimeter with a sewing machine, remembering to backstitch at the corners. Trim all loose threads with scissors. Cut around the sewn edges with pinking shears, leaving approximately one inch of fabric all around.
STEP THREE
Download, print, and cut out Upcycled Christmas Tree Pillow patterns below ⇓ Secure paper tree trunk pattern to brown fabric with straight pins and cut out with pinking shears. Repeat with the triangular tree pattern and six different green fabrics, cutting out each with pinking shears. Layout Christmas tree shapes on pillowcase overlapping from bottom to top.
STEP FOUR
Attach each piece of fabric to the pillowcase with E6000 Fabri-Fuse Liquid Fabric Glue, by running a bead of glue around the edges. Start with the tree trunk and work toward the top of the tree. Once dry, draw stitches around the outside edge of each fabric shape using a black fabric paint pen.
STEP FIVE
Collect a variety of yellow ribbons, rick racks, fabric scraps, lace, ball fringe, and other trims and cut them to eight-inch lengths. Secure the center with a piece of yellow ribbon tied in a tight knot. Attach the scrappy star to the top of the tree with a large safety pin. Remove the scrappy star when laundering the pillowcase.

Here comes Santa Claus right down Santa Claus Lane! My Free Printable Santa Countdown to Christmas Calendar is perfect to print out for the kiddos to color. Add cotton balls or even better, sparkly white pom poms to Santa's beard each day to countdown until the BIG day!
Create a Stenciled Ugly Christmas Sweater Pillow. The holidays are just not complete without a Christmas Sweater, the uglier the better. Am I right or am I right? A canvas pillow cover makes this quick and easy!
I love felt and lace, so my Oh Christmas Tree Pillow is quick to create in just about an hour with no patterns and limited sewing. Vintage embellishments like lace and trims have been an obsession of mine for a while now, so I created this project to showcase these trims in the best possible way. The white lace and trims look like fancy snow on the felt Christmas trees, don't you think?
Creating Ugly Christmas Sweater Gnomes was the perfect solution to my recent trip to Goodwill in search of sweaters to upcycle. I know that you have seen all of the cute and woodsy Gnomes out there, but I like to stand out and not blend in. Since I live in Florida the pickings were mighty slim, but I was able to find a red cable knit and a pretty ugly Christmas sweater.
