Glittery Art Abandonment Hearts with Fairfield World

This post is sponsored by Fairfield World but the ideas and opinions are my own.  I love to create art to abandon and with this project, Glittery Art Abandonment Hearts, you can join me!  Make a piece of art and then leave it out in the world for a random stranger to find!  It's a great way to spread kindness.  Quick and easy to make in just about 15 minutes, these wintery hearts get their glittery sparkle from an unexpected source – Glasslets from Fairfield World!  Glasslets are mini glass beads with no hole that can also be used for weighted blankets and sensory toys, but I LOVE the way they make these snowflakes SHINE!

Create Hearts with Glittery Glasslet Snowflakes

Here's what you need to make Glittery Art Hearts:

• Fairfield World™ Poly-Fil® Glasslets™
• Kunin® Classics™ Felt 9” x 12” Craft Cuts – Red
• Tombow Fudenosuke Brush Pen Twin Tip
• Tombow MONOTWIN Permanent Marker
• Beacon Adhesives Fabri-Tac Glue
• Sizzix Snowflake Die and Sizzix Big Shot Machine
• Pinking or Scallop Shears
• Scissors – I LOVE my Fiskars!
• Ruler
• Hole Punch
• White Chipboard; White Cardstock; Bakers Twine; Paper Plate; Pencil

Here's how to create Art Abandonment Hearts:

STEP ONE

Die-cut a snowflake from a piece of white chipboard with a die and die cutting machine OR you can use your Cricut.

Apply a generous layer of glue to the chipboard snowflake.

Place snowflake on a paper plate and then sprinkle with Fairfield World Glasslets.  Tap off excess and set aside to dry.  Carefully fold a paper plate in half and return the excess to the original container.

LOVE that sparkle!

STEP TWO

Download, print and cut out the  GLITTERY ART ABANDONMENT HEARTS PATTERN  Trace onto Kunin Red Felt with the MONOTWIN marker.  Cut out heart with pinking or scallop shears.  Punch a hole at the top center.

STEP THREE

Cut a tag from white cardstock, punch a hole at the end. Write a message on the tag and then cut a fishtail from the opposite end with scissors.

Fold a 24” length of bakers twine in half and thread through heart, snowflake, and tag.  Tie bakers twine in a bow to finish.

Customize the message and leave your newly created art out in the world for someone to find, just to brighten their day!  IN CONCLUSION, MAKE KINDNESS CONTAGIOUS WHERE EVER YOU GO!
