Here's what you need to make Metallic Seashell Ornaments:

• UNICORN SPiT Metallics Gel Stain – Aphrodite Rose Gold, Zeus Gold, Poseidon Patina
• E6000 Jewelry & Bead Glue Precision Tip
• Seashells, Starfish, Oyster Shells – Assorted
• Paintbrush
• Jute Twine
• Craft Pearl Beads
• Scissors – I love my Fiskars!

Here's how to create Seashell Christmas Ornaments:

STEP ONE

UNICORN SPiT METALLIC Gel Stains allow you to easily create unparalleled, rich luminous finishes on furniture, home décor, fabric, and craft projects. Iridescent mica interacts with light to maximize the shimmer and sheen of the finish. I love that it is non-toxic so it is great for crafting with the kiddos, there are six vivid colors, and it has a green tea scent.

STEP TWO

Using a natural fiber or synthetic bristle paintbrush apply UNICORN SPiT Metallics to assorted seashells, starfish, and oyster shells. The shells can either be collected or store-bought. It is not recommended to use foam paintbrushes with UNICORN SPiT. Let the gel stain dry and apply additional coats as necessary.

STEP THREE

For my seashells, starfish, and oyster shells I applied two to three coats of UNICORN SPiT Metallics in Aphrodite which is rose gold, Zeus which is gold, and Poseidon which is a patina color. These colors make up the perfect coastal palette. Since these are Christmas tree ornaments, paint the inside and the outside of all of the shells.

STEP FOUR

For a simple hanger, measure and cut twine into 8″ sections and knot the end. For fancier hangers, measure and cut twine into 16″ sections, knot at 8″ and then tie into a bow. Attach the hangers to the seashells with E6000 Jewelry & Bead Glue. Set aside to dry.

STEP FIVE

For the oyster shells, attach a craft pearl bead to the inside with E6000 Jewelry & Bead Glue. Set aside to dry.
