Here's what you need to make a Clay Pot Frog
- Clay Pot – 2.5” in diameter, One – Dollar Tree
- DecoArt Americana Acrylic Craft Paint – Foliage Green, Bubblegum Pink
- Styrofoam Ball, 1” in diameter, Two – Dollar Tree
- Wiggle Eyes, Two – Dollar Tree
- Kunin Classic Felt 9” by 12” Craft Cuts – Neon Green, Apple Green, Violet Sky
- Button – Yellow
- Glue Gun and Glue Sticks – Dollar Tree
- Scissors – I love my Fiskars!
- Craft Knife
- Basecoat Paintbrush Set – DecoArt
- Pencil with New Eraser
- MONO Twin Black Permanent Marker – Tombow

Here's how to create a Frog from a Flowerpot
STEP ONE
To begin the Clay Pot Frog Kids Craft, gather all materials and then remove the packaging and labels. Basecoat the clay pot with Foliage Green acrylic craft paint. Let the paint dry and then apply a second coat, if necessary.
STEP TWO
Have an adult carefully cut a shallow slice from each of the styrofoam balls with a craft knife. You can also use a serrated kitchen knife.

Attach a wiggle eye to the flat side of each of the painted foam balls with a glue gun and glue sticks. Glue the frog’s eyes onto the top, front of the clay pot.
STEP THREE
Download, print, and cut out Clay Pot Frog Patterns from the bottom of this post. Cut out two frog feet from Neon Green Kunin Classic Felt. Attach to the front bottom edge of the clay pot using a glue gun and glue sticks.
STEP FOUR
Add polka dot cheeks by dipping a new pencil eraser into Bubblegum Pink acrylic craft paint. Set aside to dry. Draw two small circles for a nose and a smile from cheek to cheek using a MONO Twin black permanent marker. I love drawing and tracing with the MONO Twin Permanent Marker from Tombow because it has a large bullet tip and a small extra fine tip.
Randomly cut out six circles from Neon Green Kunin Classic Felt. Attach three to the right and three to the left side of the frog using a glue gun and glue sticks.
STEP FIVE
Cut out a lily pad from Apple Green Kunin Classic Felt, and three water lily flowers from either Candy Pink or Violet Sky Kunin Classic Felt.
Layer the three flowers randomly on top of each other, securing them in the center with a glue gun and glue sticks. Glue a yellow button in the center to finish the flower. Attach the water lily flower to the lily pad with a glue gun and glue sticks. Place the frog on its lily pad.
