Here's what you need to make Pumpkins from Copper Kitchen Scrubbers:

  • Copper Pot Scrubbers, Four – Dollar Tree
  • Assorted Ribbon, Lace, Rick Rack Scraps – Green
  • Twig – From the Yard
  • Glue Gun and Glue Sticks
  • Scissors – I love my Fiskars!
  • Wire Cutters

Here's how to create Dollar Tree Pumpkins in 5 Minutes:

STEP ONE

To begin the 5 Minute Copper Scrubber Pumpkins, gather all supplies. Remove the copper mesh pot scrubbers from their packaging and gather a tree branch or two from the yard.

STEP TWO

Carefully pull the top and bottom of the mesh scrubber pads, fluffing them up and making them taller. Some of the edges are sharp, so wearing garden or work gloves may be a good idea. Rolling the scrubbers in between your hands is also a good way to make them into a sphere shape.

STEP THREE

Gather a small tree branch from the yard and cut two-inch sections with wire cutters or a branch cutter. A wooden dowel or cinnamon stick would also work as a pumpkin stem. Attach tree branch stems to the top center of each pumpkin with a glue gun and glue sticks. You can use liquid craft glue, but you would have to wait for it to dry.

STEP FOUR

Tie assorted green ribbon, lace, and rick rack scraps around the stems of the 5 Minute Copper Scrubber Pumpkins. Do you always keep all your scraps as I do? Then this is a great way to use up those bits and pieces from your stash.

STEP FIVE

Since these copper pot scrubber pumpkins are so tiny, trim any long ends of the ribbons, lace, and rick rack with scissors. I really love quick and easy (and cheap) crafts, don't you?

  1. I confess, when I first saw them I thought these were made from those hair bun things that people use under their real hair! I’ve not seen the copper kitchen scourers but they make perfect pumpkins!
