Upcycled Wine Cork Frankenstein
STEP ONE
To begin the Cork Frankenstein, gather all supplies. Lay out 20 corks on your work surface, in five rows of four corks each. This bag of recycled wine corks is perfect for all your home decor needs!

STEP TWO
Attach the corks together in rows using a glue gun and glue sticks. Then stack and glue the rows together into five rows of four corks each to create a rectangle. If using liquid craft glue, hold the corks together with a rubber band during the drying process.

STEP THREE
Using the photo as your guide, paint the ends of the corks with Hauser Light Green acrylic craft paint using a paintbrush. I love Americana Acrylics from DecoArt because they have one-coat coverage on most surfaces.

STEP FOUR
Download, print, and cut out the CORK FRANKENSTEIN PATTERNS from the bottom of this post. Trace or pin the patterns to Kunin Classics Black Felt and cut them out with scissors. A white chalk pencil is perfect for tracing patterns onto dark colors of felt.

STEP FIVE
Attach the zig zag edge of the black felt Frankenstein hair to the top row of corks with a glue gun and glue sticks. Kunin Classic Felt comes in 9″ by 12″ Craft Cuts that make all your DIY projects quick and easy since it won't fray when cut.

Fold the large rectangle of black felt over and attach it to the top of the corks with a glue gun and glue sticks.

Glue the remaining felt tabs to the right-hand and left-hand side of the top row of corks. Attaching the hair to all three sides will give the project a finished look.

STEP SIX
Basecoat the wooden bead with Hauser Light Green acrylic craft paint. Set aside to dry and apply a second coat, if necessary. When painting small items like beads, place them on the end of a paintbrush handle. The Dollar Tree craft section is perfect for finding good-quality arts and crafts supplies and getting creative!

STEP SEVEN
Paint the two mini wooden spools with Shimmering Silver acrylic craft paint. Let the paint dry and apply a second coat, if necessary. Use the paintbrush handle trick to paint the wooden spools.

STEP EIGHT
To create Frankenstein’s face, attach two wiggle eyes and the wooden bead nose with a glue gun and glue sticks. Glue the eyebrow over the top of the wiggle eyes, and the mouth under the eyes. Attach the silver spools to the right and left side, using the photo as a guide.
