Halloween Cork Ghosts
STEP ONE
To begin the Cork Ghosts, gather all supplies. For the large ghost, lay out 24 corks on your work surface. Two corks, three corks, four corks, four corks, four corks, four corks, and then three corks.
STEP TWO
For the small ghost, lay out 14 corks on your work surface. Two corks, three corks, three corks, three corks, and then three corks. This bag of recycled wine corks is perfect for all your home decor needs!
STEP THREE
Attach the corks together in rows using a glue gun and glue sticks. Glue the rows together to form the large and small ghosts. Attach the remaining three corks to the bottom of each ghost as indicated in the photo. If using liquid craft glue, hold the corks together with rubber bands during the drying process.
STEP FOUR
Using the photo as your guide, paint the ends of all of the corks with Titanium White acrylic craft paint using a paintbrush. Let dry and apply a second coat, if necessary. I love Americana Acrylics from DecoArt because they have one-coat coverage on most surfaces.
STEP FIVE
Download, print, and cut out the CORK GHOST PATTERNS from the bottom of this post. Trace or pin the patterns to Kunin Classic Black Felt and cut them out with scissors. Craft foam or colored cardstock would also work instead of felt. Kunin Classic Felt comes in 9″ by 12″ Craft Cuts that make all your DIY projects quick and easy since it won't fray when cut.
STEP SIX
To create the faces, attach two eyes and a mouth to each of the ghosts with a glue gun and glue sticks. Get creative and design your very own custom facial features.
STEP SEVEN
To finish the Wine Cork Ghosts, tie purple gingham ribbon into a bow. Attach the bow to the neck of the large ghost with a glue gun and glue sticks. The Dollar Tree craft section is perfect for finding good-quality arts and crafts supplies and getting creative!
