Here's how to create Clothespin Pumpkin Pie:

STEP ONE

To begin the Dollar Tree Craft Clothespin Pumpkin Pie, gather all supplies. Remove the metal spring from the wooden clothespins. Line up three full clothespins on your work surface, to create a wedge shape. Attach the wooden clothespin pieces together with a glue gun and glue sticks, using the photo as a template.

STEP TWO

Paint the front and all sides of the clothespin pumpkin pie wedge with Burnt Orange Acrylic Paint and a basecoat paintbrush. Set aside to dry.  I love using Americana Acrylics from DecoArt because they have excellent one-coat coverage on most surfaces.

STEP THREE

Download, print and cut out the Clothespin Pumpkin Pie Crust Pattern. Trace onto Cashmere Tan Kunin Classic Felt with the MONO Twin Permanent Marker. Cut out the crust patterns with scissors, cutting inside the traced lines for a clean, finished project. The MONO Twin is my favorite permanent marker because it has a larger bullet tip and a small extra fine tip.

STEP FOUR

Attach the felt crust to the bottom of the clothespin pumpkin pie wedge with a glue gun and glue sticks. Apply additional glue to the tops of the clothespins and then fold the scalloped edge up and around to mimic the fluted edge of a pie crust. I think the Cashmere Tan Kunin Classic Felt is the perfect pie crust color, don't you?

STEP FIVE

To finish the Dollar Tree Craft Clothespin Pumpkin Pie, attach one large white pom pom to the top center of each of the three pie wedges with a glue gun and glue sticks from Dollar Tree. Create Clothespin Pumpkin Pie slices to use for a Thanksgiving place card or attach to ribbon to make a garland. The perfect size for a tiered tray decoration. This pie has no calories and there will be no leftovers. LOL!
