Here's how to create Doodle Pumpkins with Popsicle Sticks:
STEP ONE
To begin the Craft Stick Pumpkin Trio Dollar Tree Craft, gather all supplies. I love to keep certain supplies like wooden sticks in my stash all year long because they are versatile and easy to create with. Spread out these main supplies on your work surface and let the kids' imaginations run WILD!

STEP TWO
To create pumpkins, line up six jumbo craft sticks, six skill sticks, and eight mini craft sticks on your work surface. Using scissors, trim additional jumbo popsicle sticks to the width of each pumpkin and attach them with a glue gun and glue sticks.

STEP THREE
Paint each pumpkin with a different shade of orange acrylic paint, Pumpkin Spice, Burnt Orange, and Canyon Orange. Set aside to dry and apply a second coat, if necessary.

STEP FOUR
Trim additional jumbo wooden sticks with scissors, to create the pumpkin stems. Paint with Light Cinnamon acrylic paint. Set aside to dry and apply a second coat, if necessary. Once dry, attach each stem to the top center of the back of each pumpkin with a glue gun and glue sticks.

STEP FIVE
Using my favorite MONO Twin permanent black marker, draw patterns on the plain pumpkins. Create a basket weave on the largest pumpkin by alternating horizontal and vertical lines. Draw a variety of swirls and teardrops on the smallest pumpkin to look like vines. Get creative with this step and let the kiddos help!

STEP SIX
Cut assorted ribbon, baker’s twine, lace, and rick rack scraps into 4” lengths. Cut an 8” length of natural jute twine and tie in a knot around the scraps, then tie around the pumpkin stem and secure with a knot. Trim ends of ribbon and twine, if necessary, with scissors.

These are adorable Beth! I love the addition of the patterns. I’ve never seen skill sticks. I thought you had taken apart clothespins to use. Thanks for sharing them! Now I’ve found a new medium to use in decor DIYs!
