My Process for Creating FREE Printables:
DRAWING
My process for creating a FREE Printable is pretty straight forward. First, I sketch out a design or idea in pencil in a small rectangle, then when I have time or an event is approaching, I transfer that sketch to a plain 8.5″ by 11″ piece of printer paper in pencil. This is the messy part, lots of scribbles.
INKING
Once I am pleased with a design, I ink it in with my favorite pen the Tombow MONOTWIN Permanent Marker. It has a larger bullet tip on one end and a smaller fine tip on the other, which provides a variety of line widths. The ink is permanent and dries instantly, so no smudges when I erase the pencil lines.
TRACING
Next, I place the rough sketch on my Cricut BrightPad and then place a piece of super smooth presentation-quality printer paper on top and ink again. This process allows me to ink in all of the areas of the Cinco de Mayo Printables with the MONOTWIN and without any pencil lines. I create a clean and finished drawing.
SCANNING
To finish up, I place the final image in my Canon Pixma printer, scan the image to my computer, and save it as a PDF file. Then I share it here for everyone to enjoy!
