Kids Hand Cut Out DIY Uncle Sam Gnome Craft

Here's what you need to make a DIY Uncle Sam Gnome:
- Craft Paper – Red, White, Blue, Silver Glitter – Dollar Tree
- Glue Stick – Dollar Tree
- Pom Poms – Silver Tinsel – Dollar Tree
- Letter Stickers – Red, Blue – Dollar Tree
- Star Shaped Craft Punch or Template – 1” Wide (or draw your own!)
- Pencil
- Scissors – I love my Fiskars!

Here's how to create a patriotic Gnome with your kid's hand:
STEP ONE
Download, print and cut out DIY Uncle Sam Gnome Patterns BELOW. Trace your child’s hand onto white craft paper and cut out or use the pattern provided. Trace other shapes onto colored craft paper according to directions on the pattern sheet. Cut out all pieces with scissors.
NOTE: This would be a fun handprint project as well. Just paint your child’s hand with white craft paint and press it onto a piece of colored paper, then follow the rest of the instructions below.
STEP TWO
Attach three white strips to the red hat top with the glue stick. Glue red-striped hat to the top edge of the hand-shaped cutout. Add the blue rectangle to create the hat brim. Attach the silver tinsel pom pom nose with a dab of hot glue or white school glue.
STEP THREE
Punch a star from silver glitter craft paper. Add letter stickers to spell USA or add your own saying or name. Attach to hat with the glue stick.
