Spring Decor DIY Hemp Cord Rainbow

Here's what you need to make a Rainbow from Hemp Cord:
- Hemptique 20 lb. Hemp Cord Spool – Lavender

- Hemptique 20 lb. Hemp Cord Balls – Bright Pink

- Hemptique 20 lb. Hemp Cord Balls – Lemonade
- Wooden Rainbow, Small – Mondo Llama (found at Target)
- Aleene's Tacky Glue – Duncan Enterprises
- Buttons, Assorted – Natural Wood

Here's how to create a Hemp Cord Rainbow:
STEP ONE
To begin the DIY Hemp Cord Rainbow for Spring Decor, gather all supplies. I love all of the vibrant colors, weights, and varieties of hemp cord, jute, and baker's twine that Hemptique carries.
STEP TWO
This small wooden rainbow from Mondo Llama can be found in the craft section at Target. It has built-in grooves that are perfect for adding lengths of Hemptique Hemp Cord in rainbow colors. Apply a generous amount of Allene's Tacky Glue to the outer edge of the wooden shape, and starting with red add four to five strands of Hemp Cord in rainbow order. Red, pink, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple.
STEP THREE
If the hemp cord is not sticking properly, add more Tacky Glue, so that the strands are saturated. Run your fingers along the hemp cord making sure that glue gets in all of the nooks and crannies. Leave the colored hemp cord strands long until the glue has dried completely.
STEP FOUR
Add Tacky Glue to the base of each side of the rainbow and attach a variety of natural wood buttons. These buttons remind me of clouds but match the unfinished wood of the rainbow. Don't worry about the extra Tacky Glue because it will dry clear.
STEP FIVE
To finish the DIY Hemp Cord Rainbow, trim the ends of the strands with scissors. Mix and match colors of Hemptique Hemp Cord and buttons to create a custom piece of Spring decor for your home.
