Here's how to make Christmas Tree Ornaments from Wooden Spools:
To begin the Wooden Spool Christmas Tree ornaments, gather all supplies. I found these packages of spools at Dollar Tree for only $1.25. You will need seven spools (of any size) to complete this craft.
Attach ribbon pieces to the flat surface of the spool using a glue gun and glue sticks. Each tree requires seven spools, six Christmas patterns, and one brown pattern. Assemble the spool tree by gluing together three spools to create the base. Add two spools on the second row and then one spool at the top in a pyramid shape. Attach the tree trunk spool at the bottom center.
Paint wooden stars with metallic gold acrylic craft paint. Let dry and apply a second coat, if necessary. If you don't have metallic gold paint you can use gold glitter glue or glue and gold glitter to make the stars sparkle!
To finish, measure and cut a ten-inch section of twine, knot it into a loop, and glue it to the top of the tree. Attach the star to the twine knot with a glue gun and glue sticks. Use the tip of your scissors to hold the twine in place so you don't burn your fingers.
