Here's how to create Colorful Fireworks from Craft Supplies:
STEP ONE
To begin the Uncle Sam Upcycled Chip Can craft, gather all supplies. Clean the inside and outside of the chip can with a damp paper towel. Apply a basecoat of Americana Titanium White acrylic paint to the outside of the chip can. Set aside to dry and apply a second coat, if necessary.
STEP TWO
Download, print, and cut out the Uncle Sam Upcycled Chip Can pattern sheet below ⇓. Trace patterns onto red, white, and blue craft foam according to instructions on the pattern sheet with a pencil or marker. Cut out all patterns with scissors, inside the traced lines, so you have a clean and finished project.
STEP THREE
Attach red craft foam stripes vertically to the top of the chip can with the glue gun and glue sticks. Glue the blue craft foam hat band onto the chip can horizontally. Slide the red craft foam hat brim onto the chip can and secure it with glue under the hatband.
STEP FOUR
Trace face pattern onto chip can with a pencil. Paint Uncle Sam’s face with an Americana Flesh Tone color of your choice. Let dry and apply a second coat, if necessary.
STEP FIVE
Punch out six stars and one nose from silver glitter cardstock. Assemble Uncle Sam’s facial features using the photos as a guide. Attach stars onto the blue hatband with the glue gun and glue sticks.
