I am always creating holiday projects at the last minute. Can you relate? The Fourth of July is right around the corner, so you have plenty of time to create a Stars and Stripes Table Runner to decorate your barbecue, picnic, or just because! If you are attending instead of hosting, one of these patriotic table runners would make a quick and easy hostess gift, going together with no sewing in just under one hour.

Here's how to create a no-sew Stars and Stripes Table Runner
STEP ONE
To begin the Stars and Stripes Table Runner, measure a rectangle of Red Kunin Classic Felt 14” by 36” and cut with pinking shears. I use the black Aquarellable pencil on light-colored felt and cut inside the marked lines for a clean, finished project.
STEP TWO
Layout lace, rick rack, and trims on the rectangle of Red Felt to create the white stripes of the flag. Secure with felt glue, and let dry. This is a great project to use up all those bits and pieces that have been collected. And don't worry about color, I used a variety of whites, off-whites, and creamy colored trims.
STEP THREE
Make a 15″ wide star pattern from poster board or freezer paper and then trace and cut two stars from Kunin Royal Blue Classic Felt yardage. Attach one star to each end of the table runner with Felt Glue, and let dry. I use the white Aquarellable pencil on dark-colored felt and then cut inside the traced lines for a clean, finished project.
STEP FOUR
Trace and cut two 5” wide stars from Neon Blue Kunin Felt and two 5” wide stars from Cadet Blue Kunin Felt. Trace two 5” wide stars from Kunin White Glitter Felt and cut out with pinking shears.
Using the photo as your guide, attach smaller stars to the royal blue felt stars at each end of the table runner with felt glue, and let dry.
STEP FIVE
To finish the Stars and Stripes Table Runner, embellish the stars with glittered letters, fabric paint, glitter glue, sequins, and rhinestones as you like!
