How do you make Shape and Color Puppets?

Sizzix Big Shot Switch Plus Machine

The new Sizzix Big Shot Switch Plus is a game-changer because it is electric, so it requires no cranking – ZERO! With an automated feeder, including a reverse function, for smooth and effortless die-cutting every time. Plus this machine is 100% compatible with your favorite Sizzix Thinlits, Framelits, and Bigz dies.

Remove the largest Framelit Die from each of the shape sets, and match it up with a bright and vibrant color of cardstock. Follow the correct combination of cutting plates, insert it in the front of the Big Shot Switch Plus, and let the automatic feeder of the machine do the rest!

Separate the cutting plates and remove the die-cut cardstock shape from the metal die. Perfect crisp and clean cutting each and every time.

Match up each of the Framelits Shapes Dies with a different color of rainbow cardstock.

Using scraps of the red and pink cardstock, cut rectangles. Cut the rectangles into squares, and then cut the squares into circles for the cheeks.

Attach the wiggle eyes and cheeks to each of the shapes with a glue gun and glue sticks. A low temp glue gun will really hold this project together through hours of learning.

Using the MONO Twin Permanent Marker, draw a smile from cheek to cheek on the front of each shape. I love drawing and tracing with the MONO Twin Permanent Marker from Tombow because it has a large bullet tip and a small extra fine tip.

Glue a jumbo craft stick to the back of each shape to transform them into puppets.

Add the name of the color and the name of the shape to the back of each puppet with the MONO Twin permanent marker. This way the kiddos can use the shape and color flashcards alone, or with a buddy.
