Here's how to make a Puzzle Piece Heart Wreath:
STEP ONE
To begin the Dollar Tree Puzzle Piece Heart Wreath, gather all supplies. Basecoat 25 puzzle pieces Snow White, 25 Santa Red, 25 Peony Pink, and 25 Baby Pink. Set aside to dry and apply a second coat, if necessary. Freezer Paper or Newspaper makes a great, inexpensive cover for your work surface.
STEP TWO
Download, print, and cut out the Puzzle Piece Heart Wreath Pattern at the bottom of this post ⇓. Trace onto chipboard, cut outside with scissors and inside with craft knife on a self-healing mat.
STEP THREE
Randomly attach painted puzzle pieces to the heart wreath base in a single layer with the glue gun and glue sticks.
STEP FOUR
Apply a second layer of puzzle pieces over top of the first layer. Mix and match the colors and shapes to create an organic pattern.
STEP FIVE
Measure and cut a rectangle of white cardstock one inch long and eleven inches wide. Find the center and hand letter or print the message “Love You To Pieces” in pencil and then in red marker. Cut a fishtail at each end of the cardstock with scissors.
STEP SIX
Fold the ends into a “Z” pattern and attach the banner to the center of the heart wreath with the glue gun and glue sticks.
STEP SEVEN
Measure and cut a twelve-inch length of red and white baker’s twine and then glue it to the back of the wreath to use as a hanger.
STEP EIGHT
To finish the Valentine's Day Puzzle Wreath, tie a bow with a second twelve-inch length of baker’s twine and attach it to the wreath.

Your heart craft is so cute and whimsical. The ‘love you to pieces’ is the perfect addition. I’m visiting from Artsy Fartsy Mama. If interested, I shared abstract art gift bags #29. Have a nice weekend!
Thanks Allyson! It’s a great way to upcycle those old puzzles instead of throwing them away! Your gift bags caught my eye immediately!
What a fun wreath, love the colours too.
Thanks, Claire! It was super quick and easy!
Such a cute project. I am helping plan a valentine’s party for my daughter’s class and this will be a perfect project for her class. Thank you for the share.
Thanks! And YES totally doable with a class. Just use the back of the puzzle pieces so the paint dries more quickly and regular white glue then set aside to dry! <3
not able to print the heart patten ?a
All fixed Anita! Thanks for letting me know!
Nagyon várom, hogy kislányommal elkészítsük ezt a szívecskét.
Köszönjük.
I used your heart pattern and looking at your picture in the directions this looks like it is longer than your direction. “Measure and cut a rectangle of white cardstock one-inch long and eleven inches wide.” Please let me know soon as my special friend is making this on Monday. Thank you, ZJB
Hello Zooey, Please fold the banner strip in a “Z” pattern at both ends to make it fit the heart shape and give is dimension!
