Here's what you need to make a Notebook Paper Tote Bag
- Canvas Tote Bag – 16″ x 15″
- Sharpie – Red
- Sharpie – Blue
- Ruler
- Embroidered Iron -On Letters – Block, Black
- Craft Iron
- Ironing Board or Pad
- Scissors – I love my Fiskars!
Here's how to create a Canvas Tote for a Teacher
STEP ONE
Measure and draw horizontal lines across the width with a pencil – I started 3″ from the top with the lines in 1″ increments.
Mark two vertical margin lines at 1/4″ apart, 2″ in from the left side. To make the binder holes on the left, draw a small circle at the first line, a middle line, and the last line.

STEP TWO
Trace over all the pencil marks with fine-point permanent markers – red for the margin lines, blue for the writing lines, and black for the binder holes.

STEP THREE
Spell out your favorite teacher's name with iron-on embroidered letters. Iron them on according to the package directions. I like to use a flat craft iron without steam holes for better adhesion.
