Here's how to create a Hand Lettered Banner:
STEP ONE
Gather all supplies. Download, print and cut out the Let It Snow Banner Patterns below ⇓ Download and print the Let It Snow Sheet Music three times on plain paper. Trace the banner pattern onto the sheet music and the Mixed Media Paper three times each with a MONO Drawing Pencil. Cut out the banner patterns from the mixed media paper with scissors. Color sheet music with Dual Brush Pen 451 Sky Blue using the side of the brush tip, and then cut out roughly with scissors. Apply Tombow Mini Glue Tape adhesive to banners, attach colored sheet music, and trim the excess with scissors.
STEP TWO
Trace three large and three small circles onto Watercolor Paper and cut them out with scissors. Using the Pen Tip of the Tombow MONO Multi Liquid Glue, draw snowflakes onto each of the six circles. Place large circles on a piece of plain paper, sprinkle generously with silver glitter. Tap off excess glitter, fold the paper in half and funnel excess glitter back into its original container. Repeat with small circles and white glitter. Once dry, add color to the snowflake circles. For the large circles, scribble Dual Brush Pen 373 Sea Blue onto the Blending Palette, squeeze water from the Water Brush, and then color in the circle around the glittered snowflakes. Repeat with the small circles and Dual Brush Pen 443 Turquoise.
STEP THREE
Sketch the three words LET IT SNOW, one onto each banner with MONO Drawing Pencil. Hand letter the words with Dual Brush Pen N55 Cool Gray 7 using the brush tip. Go back with the bullet tip to add fine details to the hand-lettered words. Apply blue Tombow Adhesive Dots onto each of the three banners. Sprinkle blue Adhesive Dots with white glitter and rub gently with the tip of your finger to cover the entire surface of the adhesive dot. Then tap off excess glitter and funnel it back into the original container.
STEP FOUR
To assemble the Let It Snow Banner, crumple three white doilies and then smooth them out flat to create texture. Attach large snowflake circles to textured doilies with Tombow Mini Glue Tape adhesive and adhere doilies to banners with Adhesive Dots. Stack three Adhesive Dots on the back of each small snowflake circle and attach them to the banners. Fold the grosgrain ribbon in half and crease, lay the ribbon flat on your work surface, and place the middle “It” banner directly underneath the ribbon. Apply six inches of Tombow Mini Glue Tape adhesive directly onto the grosgrain ribbon, then attach the middle banner. Repeat with the first “Let” banner and the last “Snow” banner.
