Here's what you need to Color a Pumpkin Printable:

.

Here's how I create Hand-Drawn Printables:

STEP ONE

Start out with good-quality paper to draw on. The Strathmore Mixed Media Paper Pad is high quality, smooth, and bright white, so it is perfect to sketch, draw, and color on. A pencil sketch with the MONO Drawing Pencil 3H grade is a great way to start. The 3H lead is harder, so it provides a light line that is easy to erase. I draw in the basic shape and outline first.

STEP TWO

Continuing with the MONO Drawing Pencil 3H grade, I sketch in all the fun and quirky patterns. Add a variety of shapes, styles, and patterns to the different sections of the pumpkin for a whimsical look and feel. Erase any lines that are not needed with the MONO Zero Eraser. It has a small, precision tip that is perfect for detailed work.

STEP THREE

I always ink in my free printable images with my secret weapon, the MONO Twin Permanent Marker from Tombow. It is actually two pens in one, a broader bullet tip on one end and an extra-fine tip on the other. Outlines are created with the bullet tip and details are added with the fine tip. STEP FOUR

Now it's time for the COLOR! I like to select my Dual Brush Pen palette and then create a color swatch on a piece of scrap paper, labeling each one with its corresponding number for reference. For this coloring project, I combined Dual Brush Pens 076, 098, 873, 885, 905, 925, 933, 946, and 977.

STEP FIVE

Add a variety of shades of green and orange with Tombow Dual Brush Pens to the Hand-Drawn Pumpkin Free Printable to give your project depth and interest. Experiment, relax, color, and just have FUN!
