Here's how to Create Hand-Drawn Candy Bar Wrappers:
UR MY FAV VALENTINE
Bright happy colors and big bold patterns are two of my favorite things, so jumbo polka dots and a fun hand-lettered saying is the perfect message for your Valentine. I used a light and lively palette of reds, pinks, and purples from the 36 Pack of 1500 Colored Pencils. The combination of pinks, lavenders, and light reds provides a wonderful and whimsical pastel contrast.
BAR NONE YOU'RE THE BEST
A super punny play on words, this candy bar wrapper had to include some lines (or more bars). I used the same combination of reds, pinks, and purples, but flipped the light and dark colors for a vivid contrast. The 1500 Colored Pencils from Tombow have a vibrant colored lead that can be applied with a heavy hand for a deep rich color palette.
YOU'RE SO SWEET
This wrapper has a color palette that reminds me of those little conversation candy hearts. Even though I selected bright colors, if you apply the pencils with a light hand, then you end up with beautiful pastels. The 36 Pack of 1500 Colored Pencils provide a wide range of intensities from soft and light to deep and rich. And, of course, I had to add the hand-lettered message in red!
CUT AND ADDRESS VALENTINE CANDY BAR WRAPPERS
Once colored, cut out the Free Printable Candy Bar Wrappers with scissors or a paper trimmer. Since this is more of a disposable printable, you can use any variety of paper that you want. If printing on an Inkjet Printer (water-based wet ink) I would suggest coloring with crayons or the 1500 Colored Pencils. A Laser Printer (dry toner) would be best for coloring with water-based markers like Tombow Dual Brush Pens to prevent the images from smearing. Add the names in the to: and from: boxes with the MONOTWIN Permanent Marker.
ASSEMBLE PRINTABLE CANDY BAR WRAPPERS
Apply Tombow Xtreme Permanent Adhesive to the plain edge of each wrapper, and then attach it to the back center of the candy bar. Wrap around, add additional adhesive to the opposite edge, and overlap the wrapper in the back to finish.
