The Fourth of July will be here soon and we always have a full day of Parades, Cookouts, and Family FUN, so I have created a Felt Fire Cracker Centerpiece to decorate the table this year. Quick and easy to make with some recycled cardboard tubes and supplies you probably already have around the house.

- Chenille Stems – Gold Tinsel (3) – Dollar Tree
- Gold Glitter Glue – Dollar Tree
- Rhinestones – Red and Clear – Dollar Tree
- Rubberbands – Dollar Tree
Here's how to create DIY Fire Crackers:
STEP ONE
Begin the Felt Fire Cracker Centerpiece by loading the Checkered Stamp with Blueberry Ink and stamp all over Cadet Blue Kunin Felt, and then let dry.
STEP TWO
Measure and cut felt to fit around tubes, attach with glue and secure with rubber bands until the glue is dry. Cover small tube in White Kunin Glitter Felt; medium tube in stamped Cadet Blue Kunin Felt and large tube in Red Kunin Glitter Felt. Trace and cut tops for each tube from cardboard and matching felt. Attach to the top of each tube with glue, and let dry. TIP: I use the Aquarellable Pencils by Stabilo in White on dark-colored felt and in Black on light-colored felt for tracing prior to cutting.
STEP THREE
Measure and cut a 2 ½” band of Royal Blue Kunin Felt and four 1” wide strips of White Kunin Glitter Felt and attach to the large tube with glue. With Pinking Shears cut 12 circles from Red Kunin Glitter Felt and attach them to the medium tube with glue. Measure and cut five ½” x 9” strips of Royal Blue Kunin Felt with Pinking Shears. Secure felt with rubber bands until the glue dries. Trace and cut six stars from Gold Kunin Felt. Place the gold tinsel stem in the center and attach the second star with glue. Place a heavy item on the star, like a jar of paint, until dry. Make two more stars.
STEP FOUR
Embellish small tube with red and clear rhinestones, medium tube with white star buttons, and large tube with red star buttons. Embellish stars with gold glitter glue, and let dry. To finish the Felt Fire Cracker Centerpiece, pierce the center of the top of the small tube and wiggle the piercing tool to make the hole a bit larger. Curl the top of the gold tinsel stem, then insert through the hole. Trim the end of the stem, if necessary. Repeat with medium and large tubes.
