Hop into Spring with a sweet Bunny Momma and her Baby Bunny. I might have been hoarding saving these paper mache shapes for several years. Do you ever do that? Save crafting supplies because they are just “too good” to use? Well, I used to, but this past year I started crafting from my stash and it has been a game-changer! I win by using up items I have been storing, as well as creating beautiful “new” handmade items for my home. My DIY Spring Bunny Decor is quick and easy to create in just about 15 minutes.

Here's what you need to make Spring Bunny Decor with DecoArt:
- DecoArt® Suede Paint – Soft Rose
- DecoArt® Traditions Paintbrush – one-inch wash brush
- Tombow Xtreme Tabs
- Paper Mache Bunny Momma and Bunny Baby – very similar to mine
- Ribbon – Pastel Stripe
- Flower – Lavender
- Scissors – I love my Fiskars
Here's how to create a DIY Spring Bunny:
STEP ONE
Apply a generous coat of DecoArt NEW Suede Paint in Soft Rose on the paper mache Momma and Baby Bunny shapes. Set aside to dry.
TIP: I used large strokes in a variety of directions and also used a tapping motion to apply the Suede Paint. Look at that amazing texture!
STEP TWO
Once dry, attach ribbon around each Bunny's neck securing the ends with half of a clear adhesive tab. They are clear and super sticky. I use them on a project like this instead of messy hot glue.
Tie a bow from the ribbon for Momma and Baby, then attach with half of a clear adhesive tab. It is so incredibly difficult to tie a perfect bow, so I always create bows separately from tied on ribbon.
STEP THREE
Cut off a single flower from a small bunch purchased at Dollar Tree and then secure to the center of Momma Bunny's bow with half of a clear adhesive tab. I added a flower to Baby Bunny, but then they looked to matchy, so I took it off.

Those bunnies turned out SO cute! That is a new paint to me. I love this idea and will have to be on the lookout for paper mache bunnies.
