Here's how to create DIY Paper Plate Noisemakers:
STEP ONE
To begin the Easy DIY Noisemakers for New Year's Eve, gather all supplies. Setting up a fun and colorful craft table for EVERYONE to enjoy on New Year's Eve is quick and easy. Start with a plastic tablecloth or roll of butcher paper to protect the work surface. Add art supplies like Chunkies Paint Sticks from Ooly, paper plates, and poster board, plus fun trims and items like Poly Pellets that make noise.
STEP TWO
Flip plain white heavy-duty paper plates over and add patterns with Chunkies Paint Sticks, which I love! Chunkies are twist-up paints in a stick that dry instantly in bright, vibrant colors.
STEP THREE
Add colorful patterns and layer the vivid colors on top of each other. Chunkies Paint Sticks are rich and creamy with no need for a second coat or to wait for the paint to dry.
STEP FOUR
Add words and messages on top of the patterns to complete your Paper Plate Noisemakers designs. We used the black Chunkies Paint Stick, so the words would POP! I love how these paint sticks are bright and colorful and layer so beautifully!
STEP FIVE
To finish the Easy DIY Noisemakers, flip the plate back over and fill it with a small amount of Poly-Fil Poly Pellets from Fairfield. These plastic beads are intended for bean bags and weighted toys but are perfect for this application. If you don't have Poly Pellets you can use beans, rice, over even mini jingle bells. Have an adult hot glue to plates together and this quick and easy craft is complete!
