Here's what you need to make Craft Store Home Decor Trees:

Here's how to create Quick Christmas Trees:

STEP ONE

To begin the Easy DIY Felt Trees, gather all supplies. I selected a bright and colorful Traditional Christmas palette for this project. Can you imagine a rainbow inspired palette for a year round mantel? Or even a wintery palette of blues and white to leave up until Spring?

STEP TWO

Apply low temp glue to the side of the foam cone and starting at the edge, roll onto the Kunin® Classics™ Felt. Continue adding glue and rolling until the entire foam cone is covered. Trim any excess carefully with scissors. I am an impatient crafter, so I prefer the Low Temp Glue Gun and Glue Sticks. You can definitely use liquid craft glue, just allow for drying time between steps.

STEP THREE

Apply a small scrap of Kunin® Classics™ Felt to the top of the foam cone with low temp glue. Once the glue is set, carefully trim the excess felt with scissors. Repeat with the bottom of the foam cone. The two large foam cones are Kelly Green and Pirate Green felt. The small foam cone is covered in Apple Green felt.

STEP FOUR

Select ball fringe trim that will coordinate with the shades of Kunin® Classics™ Felt, like red, white and lime green. Use a large ball fringe trim that can be cut by the yard for the large foam cones. Use a mini ball fringe trim that is available in the ribbon aisle on the small foam cone.

Starting at the bottom edge, attach the ball fringe trim to the felt covered foam cone in a spiral pattern with a low temp glue gun. Take your time and make sure that all the layers of ball fringe trim are even as you make your way up the cone to the top. Trim with scissors and then secure the cut end with more glue to prevent fraying.

STEP FIVE

In a well ventilated area, or outside, spray the unfinished wooden candlesticks and decorative finials with Design Master ColorTool Glossy Wood Tone. Set aside to dry. This color matches my home decor, but you could definitely paint the candlesticks and finials with acrylic craft paint.

To finish the Easy DIY Felt Trees, attach the decorative wooden finials to the top of each felt and ball fringe tree with a low temp glue gun and glue sticks. Secure each felt covered foam cone tree to a wooden candlestick with glue. To give a variety in height, attach the two large trees to the medium and large candlesticks. Attach the small tree to the small candlestick.
