Creating a Modern No-Sew Banner is Easy with Kunin Felt

Here's what you need to create a Celebrate Banner:
- Kunin Classics™ Felt 9″ x 12″ Craft Cuts – Neon Green (2), Gold (2), Cadet Blue (1), Coral Red (1), Bright Lilac (1), Candy Pink (1), Apple Green (1), Orange (1) and Neon Blue (1).
- Beacon Adhesives Felt Glue
- Metal Ruler or Yard Stick
- Tombow MONOTWIN Permanent Marker
- 1/4″ Wooden Dowel – cut to 28″ long
- Pom Poms – Red, two
- Scissors – I love my Fiskars!
- Clothespins – 4 to 6 spring style
- Gardening Shears or Hand Saw

Here's how to create an Easy No-Sew Banner:
STEP ONE
To begin the Easy Celebrate Everything Banner, measure and cut the following shapes from Kunin Felt: Top row – Neon Green (9″ x 12″); Gold (8″ x 12″); Cadet Blue (9″ x 12″). Middle row – Coral Red (9″x 9″); Bright Lilac (8″ x 9″); Candy Pink (9″ x 9″). Bottom row – Apple Green (9″ x 9″); Orange (8″ x 9″); Neon Blue (9″ x 9″).
STEP TWO
To create the top row, Line up Neon Green, Gold, and Cadet Blue felt on your work surface. Apply Beacon Felt Glue to right 12″ edge of Neon Green and to left 12″ edge of Cadet Blue. Attach Gold felt to Neon Green and Cadet Blue felt by overlapping, let dry.
STEP THREE
Repeat with middle row using Coral Red, Bright Lilac and Candy Pink felt, let dry. Repeat with bottom row using Apple Green, Orange, and Neon Blue felt, let dry.
STEP FOUR
Attach rows of colored rectangles using Beacon Felt Glue. Overlap middle row on top of the top row. Overlap the bottom row on top of the middle row. Download, print and cut out the letters from the file below. Use the negative image to create a “stencil” of each letter C, E, L, E, B, R, A, T, E. Outline each letter onto coordinating color of Kunin Felt, using the project photo as your guide. I used the lowercase “e” twice. Cut out letters carefully with scissors.
STEP FIVE
Flip the banner over and create a pocket at the top by folding the top row over on to itself and secure with Beacon Felt Glue and clothespins until dry.
STEP SIX
Measure and cut two strips of Gold and Neon Green felt 12″ long by 3″ wide. Fringe all four pieces using scissors. Attach to bottom edge of banner using Beacon Felt Glue, let dry.
STEP SEVEN
Measure wooden dowel to 28″ and cut with gardening shears or a hand saw. Slide dowel through the pocket at the top of the banner. Measure orange ribbon to 36″ and secure to each end of the dowel with knots. To finish the Easy Celebrate Everything Banner, measure two lengths of fuchsia ribbon to 24″ each; tie bows at either end of dowel and notch ribbon ends with scissors. Accent the cut ends of the dowels with red pom poms attached with glue.
