I have loved buttons since I first dug through my Gran's button tin when I was a kid, so this Easter Egg Button Art is the perfect addition to my Easter decor. I was lucky to recently find a new to me company called Button-Jam. They make high-quality buttons for the fashion industry and have converted those molds into the craft industry with a variety of bright and vibrant colors. This is a quick and easy project to make in about 30 minutes.

Here's what you need to make DIY Button Easter Craft:
- Button Jam Buttons – Lilac, Yellow, Green
- ColorShot Acrylic Craft Paint – Marshmallow, Farmer's Daughter, Splash, With a Twist, Emoji, Orange Slice, Aromatherapy
- Wooden Egg Decoration – Mondo Llama
- Paintbrush – 1″ Flat Wash, #6 Flat
- Wire Cutters
- E6000 Adhesive Glue – I love these mini tubes!
Here's how to create Easter Egg Button Art:
STEP ONE
To begin the Wooden Egg Art, gather all supplies. I found this wooden egg plaque in the craft aisle at Target, it is from Mondo Llama. It is about one inch thick, so it will sit by itself on a shelf to create some colorful Easter decor.

STEP TWO
Basecoat the egg plaque with ColorShot Acrylic Paint in Marshmallow White. I always paint the front, back, and all sides, so my final project is truly finished. Use a large flat wash paintbrush to get good coverage with the least amount of brushstrokes. Basecoating unfinished wooden items in white will really make the topcoat pop. Paint the front of the wooden egg plaque with ColorShot Acrylic Paint in Farmer's Daughter Pink. This premium quality acrylic paint from ColorShot is thick and creamy giving easy one-coat coverage.

STEP THREE
Using a #6 flat paintbrush create Easter egg inspired patterns on the wooden plaque. Select bright and happy colors of ColorShot Acrylic Paint in Splash, Emoji, With a Twist, Orange Slice, and Aromatherapy. I love the names of these colors!

STEP FOUR
Remove the shank or loop on the back of the decorative Button-Jam buttons with wire cutters. Make sure to cup your hand over the wire cutters to catch the shank once it is cut, otherwise, it will fly across the room. Don't ask me how I know – LOL! This will allow the buttons to lay flat on the wooden Easter egg plaque. I love the bright and vibrant colors that the Button-Jam buttons come in, and the patterns are simply gorgeous!

STEP FIVE
Using E6000 Adhesive, glue the Button-Jam buttons to the blank spaces on the wooden Easter egg plaque. Attach large Lilac and Bright Green buttons in a row across the egg. Glue small Yellow buttons to the top and the bottom of the squiggly line. Set aside to allow the glue to set up. I love these E6000 Adhesive Glue Mini Tubes because they are perfect for all types of craft projects.
