Here's how to create S'mores from Foam Dice
STEP ONE
Gather all supplies. Basecoat the foam dice with white acrylic craft paint. Let dry and apply a second coat, if necessary. This foam dice required two coats of white acrylic paint. I love Americana Acrylics from DecoArt because they have one-coat coverage on most surfaces.
STEP TWO
With a ruler and marker, measure two squares that are 3” by 3” on a piece of corrugated cardboard box. Cut out both squares with scissors. These will be the graham crackers.
STEP THREE
Using a brown marker, outline the cardboard graham crackers, draw a line through the center. Make your lines rough and uneven. Draw eight circles on each section of graham cracker, then add small dots with the tip of the pen.
STEP FOUR
Download, print, and cut out the S’MORES PATTERNS from the bottom of this post. Trace the melted chocolate pattern onto brown craft felt with a marker. Cut out with scissors.
STEP FIVE
Attach the brown felt to the top edge of the foam dice marshmallow using a glue gun and glue sticks. Pat down the corners, so the felt conforms to the curves on the dice.
STEP SIX
Glue two wiggle eyes to the front center of the marshmallow just under the melted chocolate. Use two of the same size, or mix and match sizes to create additional whimsy.
STEP SEVEN
Create the cheeks by dipping a new pencil eraser into Bubblegum Pink acrylic craft paint and stamping it on both the right and left sides of the face, just under the eyes.
STEP EIGHT
Draw on a smile from cheek to cheek with the MONO Twin permanent black marker. I love drawing and tracing with the MONO Twin Permanent Marker from Tombow because it has a large bullet tip and a small extra fine tip.
STEP NINE
Attach the completed marshmallow to the first graham cracker with a glue gun and glue sticks. To finish, glue the second graham cracker to the top of the marshmallow.
