Here's how to create a Cupcake Ornament:
STEP ONE
To begin the DIY Sprinkle Cupcake Ornament, gather all supplies. I love the assortment of polymer clay sprinkles that Laura found online for this fun project. And since Gem-Tac works on a variety of surfaces, such as Fabric, Gems, Glitter, Pearls, Plastic, Rhinestones, Studs, Leather, Vinyl, Wood, and Polymer Clay.
STEP TWO
Paint the top half of the first ornament with Titanium White and the bottom half with Milk Chocolate, in a wavy patterned edge. Secure the plastic ornament into the paper cupcake liner with Gem-Tac. Apply additional Gem-Tac over the white frosting portion of the cupcake and sprinkle generously with polymer clay gingerbread sprinkles. Set aside to dry, and then embellish with a green grosgrain ribbon bow.
STEP THREE
Paint the second ornament with a heavy coat of Titanium White, let dry. Apply random dots of Gem-Tac and secure a variety of polymer clay peppermint swirl candy sprinkles in the glue. Remove the elastic band from the mini party hat. Secure the ornament into the paper party hat with Gem-Tac. Embellish with mini pom pom fringe.
Quick and Easy DIY Sprinkle Cupcake Ornament
This was my first time using Gem-Tac and I was surprised how quickly it set up and secured the heavy polymer clay sprinkles from shifting on the round ornaments. I had so much fun creating these sweet as can be DIY Sprinkle Cupcake and Ice Cream Cone Ornaments with Gem-Tac Permanent Glue from Beacon Adhesives. Which one do you like better? Leave me a note in the comments and let me know!
Gem-Tac Permanent Glue from Beacon Adhesives is a premium quality adhesive formulated specifically to secure gems and rhinestones. One of the only adhesives that is suitable for applying mirror-backed stones, as the glue won’t warp or alter the appearance of gems or rhinestones. Requires only a small amount to really hold; position item gently and do not press hard to prevent oozing or soaking through. Gem-Tac's unique formula actually gets STRONGER when exposed to heat from the dryer when applied to clothing. To Remove: When wet, Gem-Tac can be removed with water. When dry, Gem-Tac can be removed by dry cleaning.
