Here's how to create
STEP ONE
Measure and cut a 1” wide by 12” long strip from Kunin Classic™ Felt Red, Orange, Yellow, Apple Green, Lagoon, Royal Blue, and Orchid. Cut out with scissors. TIP: Remember to cut inside the lines so that you have a clean finished project. Adhere coordinating colors of rainbow rick rack to the felt strips, with Beacon Adhesives Felt Glue, and set aside to dry.
STEP TWO
Download, print, and cut out the RAINBOW POT OF GOLD PATTERNS from the bottom of this post. Trace or pin the cloud pattern onto Kunin Premium™ Felt White. Cut out. Repeat with a second piece of white felt.
STEP THREE
Trace or pin the pot of gold pattern onto Kunin Premium™ Felt Black. Cut it out with scissors. Repeat on the second piece of black felt. Felt is an easy and forgiving medium because it does not fray when cut like traditional fabric.
STEP FOUR
Attach the top of the rainbow strips to the base of the felt cloud piece and the bottom to the edge of the pot of gold with Beacon Felt Glue. Apply additional glue and layer the second cloud and pot of gold on top. Attach lace pieces to the cloud and the jumbo black rick rack to the top of the pot of gold. Set aside to dry.
STEP FIVE
Select the message and then pop out letters from the gold iron on sheet of letters. Line up the message on the pot of gold and iron according to the package directions. I used the tail from the “Q” as the apostrophe. A craft iron doesn't have steam holes and gives a better adhesion.
STEP SIX
Trace and cut 1” circles from Kunin Classic™ Felt in Gold and Goldenrod. Attach coins to the top edge of the kettle in a random pattern with Beacon Felt Glue, then set aside to dry.
STEP SEVEN
Cut out a small, medium, and large shamrock from Kunin Classic™ Felt Neon Green, Apple Green, and Pirate Green. Layer and attach to the pot of gold with Beacon Adhesives Felt Glue, placing a green button in the center. Set aside to allow glue to dry according to the directions on the bottle.
