Easy DIY Foiled Tag Trio with Therm-O-Web

Sharing is caring!

Create a DIY Foiled Tag Trio with NEW Deco Foil Adhesive Transfers from one of my favorite companies, Therm-O-Web. October is Birthday month in my family, so I am ALWAYS creating cards and tags so that I have plenty on hand all month long and for the rest of the year. Creating with similar supplies, colors and layouts makes paper crafting quick and easy. I love that each tag has its own personality!

Here's what you need to make a Foiled Birthday Tag Trio:

.

Here's how to create DIY Foiled Birthday Tags:

STEP ONE

To begin the DIY Foiled Tag Trio, gather all supplies. The NEW Deco Foil Adhesive Transfers Let's Celebrate Designs can be applied to card stock, patterned papers, and ink-blended or water-colored backgrounds in two ways, with or without heat. No expensive, complicated foiling equipment is required; all you’ll need is a hot laminator or a manual die-cutting machine. Each package of Deco Foil Adhesive Transfers contains two identical multi-design sheets. Each sheet has a clear bottom liner and a printed top liner. The adhesive itself is clear. Deco Foil Adhesive Transfers can be used to create foiled designs on cards, tags, scrapbook layouts, mixed media projects, envelopes, vellum, and clear acetate.

STEP TWO

Cut out the sentiments that you want to attach to the white cardstock. Peel the liner paper from the BACK of the sentiments and arrange them on the cardstock. Fold a piece of Deco Foil Craft & Carrier Sheet paper in half, carefully place the cardstock and sentiments inside, and run through a heated laminator. This step can also be completed with a die-cutting machine, like a Sizzix, and the proper arrangement of die-cutting plates.

STEP THREE

Once the words have been heat set with the laminator, remove from the carrier paper and peel away the printed acetate layer on top to reveal the adhesive. Place Laura Kelly Deco Foil in Denim Blue on top of the adhesive sentiment with the shiny colored side up, place back on the carrier, and then heat set the foil with the laminator. Peel the foil back to reveal the perfectly foiled sentiments. Repeat with additional Adhesive Transfer Designs and Laura Kelly Deco Foil in Flamingo Pink, and Berry Purple.

STEP FOUR

Pre-heat the laminator, referring to the directions on the back of the Foil Transfer Sheets. Layer one Laura Kelly Patterned Toner Sheet on the bottom with one Laura Kelly Foil Transfer Sheet on top and run through the laminator, shiny colored side up. Let cool and peel the foil from the paper to reveal the magic!

STEP FIVE

Using a paper trimmer, cut black cardstock into three 4.25″ by 5″ rectangles. Cut the foiled sentiments into 3.5″ by 2.5″ rectangles, then cut the foiled patterned paper backgrounds into 4″ by 4.75″ rectangles. Assemble the three tags with iCraft 3D Foam Squares from Therm-O-Web. Tie bows on black and white ribbons and attach them to the top of each tag with additional 3D Foam Squares.

Adding the sparkle of foil and the adorable images that can be created with stamping makes a handmade card so very special. Laura from Me and My INKlings has created three adorable Oh Hello Foil Cards with Stamps that were made with her papers and foil that she designed for Therm-O-Web with their new HELLO stamp/die sets.

Creating handmade cards is a lot of fun, and it's a great way to spend an afternoon. Life can get busy, so Lindsay from Artsy Fartsy Mama likes to whip up a bunch of cards to keep on hand for any occasion. She was inspired to make a whole set of “Happy Everything” Cards using the new Deco Foil “Happy Everything” Stamp & Die Set and Adhesive Transfers. These are the cutest cards, and are so easy!
