Woven Burlap Farmhouse Basket by Creatively Beth

Create a Woven Burlap Farmhouse Basket

Farmhouse design style is very popular and the rustic chic contrast of black metal and burlap is my favorite!  Fill this Woven Burlap Farmhouse Basket with apples, pinecones or craft supplies to create a stylish organizational solution.

This project is the third installment of Craft Lightning Burlap Week! All week long my friends Angie, Carolina and I (along with some of our crafty friends) are sharing fast and fun crafts that can be made with burlap in 15 minutes or less. Check out Day One HERE and Day Two HERE.  Be sure to scroll all the way to the bottom of this post to check out the creative ideas, and come back all week long to get quick and easy burlap craft inspiration.

Here’s what you will need to Create a Woven Burlap Farmhouse Basket:

Step One

Weave burlap ribbon through the wire basket slats.

Paint white button with Buttermilk, let dry.  This is one of my secret tips – if you don’t have the proper color embellishment to add to your project then paint, ink or color a white one and your problem is solved!

Step Two

Trim ends with scissors and glue in place.  Repeat with the second length of burlap ribbon.

Step Three

Thread bakers twine through button holes, tie in a bow and trim the ends.

Fill this Woven Burlap Farmhouse Basket with school supplies and gift it to your kiddos teacher to celebrate going back to school!
