Valentine's Day Popsicle Stick Heart
STEP ONE
To begin the Craft Stick Heart, gather all supplies. To create the heart, line up four jumbo craft sticks at a slight angle on your work surface. Using scissors, trim additional jumbo craft sticks to the width of the heart and attach them with a glue gun and glue sticks. Repeat with the second half of the heart, lining up the craft sticks at the opposite angle.

STEP TWO
Glue the heart halves together by lining up the halves along the bottom edges. If using liquid craft glue for this project, add extra drying time. Dollar Tree has such a HUGE selection of materials that can be upcycled and good quality craft supplies that won’t blow your budget!

STEP THREE
Basecoat the front and sides of the craft stick Valentine's heart with Bubblegum Pink acrylic craft paint. Let dry, and apply a second coat, if necessary. I love Americana Acrylics from DecoArt because they have one-coat coverage on most surfaces.

STEP FOUR
Squeeze out a small amount of iridescent glitter glue and spread it out over the surface of the craft stick Valentine's heart with your finger. Set aside to dry. You can use glitter paint or clear glue and loose glitter, as well.

STEP FIVE
Select a heart and a key shape of your choice from the variety pack of Dollar Tree felt table scatter. Attach them to the top center of the heart with a glue gun and glue sticks. Tie baker’s twine into a bow, and glue it to the heart to finish.

Mix and match the paint, ribbon, and glitter colors to create custom hearts. Add a name to make the perfect place card for your Valentine's Day dinner. This craft is ideal for the classroom or a Valentine's Day party.
