Here's how to create a Popsicle Stick Ghost and Bat
STEP ONE
Gather all supplies. To create the Ghost, line up five jumbo craft sticks on your work surface. Using scissors, trim additional jumbo craft sticks to the width of the Ghost and attach with a glue gun and glue sticks. To create the Bat, line up six mini craft sticks on your work surface. Using scissors, trim additional jumbo craft sticks to the width of the Bat and attach with a glue gun and glue sticks.
TIP: You can use liquid craft glue for this project, but you will have to wait for it to dry.
STEP TWO
Basecoat the craft stick Ghost with Titanium White acrylic craft paint. Basecoat the craft stick Bat with Lamp Black acrylic craft paint. Let dry, and apply a second coat, if necessary. I love Americana Acrylics from DecoArt because they have one-coat coverage on most surfaces.
STEP THREE
Draw a curved line across the top of the back of the craft stick Ghost.
Carefully trim the jumbo craft sticks with a pair of scissors.
Download, print, and cut out the CRAFT STICK GHOST & BAT PATTERNS from the bottom of this post. Trace the Ghost's eyes and mouth onto black craft foam with a pencil. Cut out with scissors. Attach the features to the Ghost with a glue gun and glue sticks.
STEP FOUR
Trace the Bat wings and ears onto black craft foam with a pencil. Cut out with scissors. The Dollar Tree craft section is perfect for finding good quality arts and crafts supplies to get creative with the kiddos!
Attach two wiggle eyes, Bat wings, and ears to the craft stick body with a glue gun and glue sticks.
Draw a curved mouth and two triangular pointy teeth on the craft stick Bat with a white paint marker.
