Butterbeer Rice Krispie Treats Inspired by Harry Potter

Sharing is caring!

There is honestly nothing more refreshing than an ice-cold frozen Butterbeer after a hot morning spent in Diagon Alley at Universal Studios. After the ride lines get too long, we like to skip the crowds and sneak away to a quiet table at the Leaky Cauldron and indulge in this sweet and creamy frosty concoction. Inspired by this signature Harry Potter beverage, I am sharing my Butterbeer Rice Krispie Treats today in honor of the son of Gryffindor’s upcoming Birthday!

Butterbeer is a popular wizarding beverage described as tasting “a little bit like less sickly butterscotch“. It was served at numerous locations in the wizarding world and had a very slight alcoholic content. Students of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry would often buy it when visiting Hogsmeade. In Diagon Alley, the drink is known to be sold at the Leaky Cauldron. Those sound delicious! We are huge Harry Potter fans and had plans/tickets for Universal Studios this spring that I’m pretty sure we won’t be able to use now. At least we can still enjoy Butterbeer treats at home. Pinned.

This looks and sounds so yummy. I tried to make butter beer at home one time and it just didn’t taste as wonderful as they do at the resort. I have chosen this post as one of our features this week in honor of Harry’s birthday. Thanks so much for sharing! Pinned of course. #HomeMattersParty

Thank you for the feature, Donna! I understand about recreating actual butterbeer, there really is nothing like it outside Universal. 🙂
